II. Description of Organization

Organization, Mission, and Goals:

A non-profit organization working on the outskirts of the city, its programs are aimed at young adults, adolescents, and children. The Center's mission is to strengthen youth leadership for the benefit of the community, its families, and young people themselves. The center's work falls within the areas of education, health, youth culture, and community leadership.

Current Border Environment Projects and Activities:

Program for Community Reflection and Action: In this program students from the community's junior high schools participate in designing programs for community development.

Program for Environmental Education: This on-going program focuses on educating and training young adults, adolescents, and children in environmental issues, environmental health, and environmental justice.

Past Border Environment Projects and Activities:

Work is being carried out on the design of a program for sustainable development in which the principal agents will be children, adolescents, and young adults from the community.
