II. Description of Organization
Organization, Mission, and Goals:
The BEC is a Center of the New Mexico Border Health Office (New Mexico Department of Health, Public Health Division) and the New Mexico State University (Department of Health Science, College of Health and Social Services). The BEC serves the Southern NM, West Texas and Northern Chihuahua region. The BEC's mission is to preserve and enhance the health of the New Mexico-Chihuahua-West Texas border population and other border-impact areas through research, education/training, and community health services.
