II. Description of Organization
Organization, Mission, and Goals:
ADWR works to secure water supplies for Arizona's communities. ADWR administers state water laws (except those related to water quality), explores methods to augment water supplies, and develops policies promoting conservation and equitable distribution of water.

We are developing a groundwater model for the Santa Cruz Active Management Area. We are also part of the facility planning process to resolve wastewater problems in Nogales, AZ and Nogales, Sonora. We also work with the City of Nogales, AZ to promote wellhead protection.
